Fosse Way roundabouts

Most motoring incidents occur in the last five to ten miles of a journey. Apparently the mind becomes less alert due to the anticipation of arrival and the discharging of driving, navigational and mechanical responsibilities. However during the earlier parts of the journey, boredom becomes an issue. The mind is alert due to the responsibilities of motoring, however the tedium and monotony of long distance driving can take a toll on even the most resilient of individuals. Trapped in this computational quandary, the author decided to engage with the roundabout trial in a philosophical context. 

The metaphor of seemingly endless roundabouts offers a vague comparison with the technological progress of our contemporary civilisation. Furhtermore Fosse does sound a lot like Foss. For those unfamiliar with the acronym, Free Open Source Software is a term that encompasses a variety of altruistic licenses for the distribution of intellectual property, generally in the context of digital information architecture. Something which everybody uses, most people have heard of, some people understand, a few people work with and even fewer develop. However in line with the general theme of TEFLONRABBIT.com we will be comparing the boredom of the routes A46, A5 and A429 to... (drum roll)... clandestine releases of technology throughout history.

Progress

Most humans on planet earth would like to think that broadly speaking, we are united in our technological progress. However it is generally driven by competition which creates disparity. In motoring terms, we're all headed toward the same destination, but some choose a different route. This of course is a total illusion. The technology that emerges from these differing paths often has a very similar architecture. This can be seen in the methods employed by the military in their tendering methods. A group of MIC contractors will bid for a contract to build prototypes. The government and the military award them all the same generous budget with which to build several vehicles to an agreed specification. How the contractors build the prototypes is up to them and is kept fanatically secret from the other contractors.

Clusters of decommissioned supersonic black aircraft have been identified online over the past three decades. With some historical analysis of satellite imagery, a vague outline of when these aircraft were manufactured begins to emerge. The precise dates of budgetary actions by the governments who ordered them are a matter of record. While the nature of these aircraft is always a closely guarded matter of national security (apparently), the public monies used to pay for them, is not. The fact that public money is used, implies that a dissemination of information is occurring. The military develop the capability, then their corporate liaison departments and the civilian governments choose which private companies will then have the contract to produce the technology for consumer purposes. There are usually multiple tenders and corresponding numbers of prototypes. Then the contractors compete in their R&D and the advances go into their broader development portfolio.  This rotary junction of MIC business facilitates traffic coming in from other directions and they all converge in a continuation of the journey. It doesn't matter where the other traffic came from, what matters is where it is going to. Whether the original information comes from research conducted under the banner of government, military, life sciences or astrophysics, someone is getting clued in on a new method, process or manufacturing capability. 

Fringe science

As mentioned in previous articles, fringe research in physics is fraught with rebuttals which take the form of cognitive dissonance and blatant hit campaigns. There is at this time of writing, an active campaign to discredit anyone publicising any independent research into the subject of advanced technology in ancient civilisations. This is manifested in claims of racism being made by tenured academics against authors, researchers and influencers who encourage their audience to lend credence to research of a fringe nature. Unfortunately for the academic industry, information distribution and the dissemination of technology have both changed dramatically over the past several decades. There is also the inconvenient truth that very few of these authors, researchers and influencers are in any way racist. This has not stopped Flint Dibble in his war on pseudo science. After his high profile insurgency against Graham Hancock on the Joe Rogan Podcast, Flint has moved on to lesser game. Recently he was seen in a Twitter / X flame war with Jimmy Corsetti (BrightInsight) and was once again, banding unfounded accusations of racism around. However, the universe is ruled by an action / opposite reaction axiom. Consequently research fellow Dibble (and everyone who hates him) found that his current position at Cardiff University had been caught up in the recent downsizing. 

The work of more credible archaeology researchers on Gobekli Tepe over the past decade has produced the opinion that knowledge dissemination was occurring on a semi regular basis throughout deep antiquity. As a global culture, we associate these advances and developments with either the necessity of invention, or brilliant and academic inspiration. Neither of these would be entirely accurate however. Without getting into a contentious debate about background knowledge or the Akashic record, the claims of many luminaries can not be ignored. The Vril Society, Viktor Schauberger, Nikola Tesla, Edgar Cayce, Pandit Subbaraya Shastry and a vast number of other inventors have openly stated that they were receiving their information from a source which was distinctly outwith (and different from) their own psyche. Furthermore some engineers including Schauberger have spoken of a genetic memory which they have tapped into in some way. 

It would not be a massive leap of deductive analysis to assume that these claims were attributable to some form of consciousness field. Neither would it be ridiculous to assume that mankind has probably been researching, co-opting, controlling and collecting from the consciousness field for a very long time.  Contemporary GPS navigation doesn't drive the car for you, it simply keeps you appraised of the terrain ahead using some magical and precognitive, space age technology. We in the first world have been using the technology for over forty years, with consumers accessing GPS products by the late 80's. For a North Sentinel Islander to negotiate the driving of a Ford Focus 1.4GL through a roundabout using a sat-nav application running on a smartphone, they would probably have to start somewhere around the subjects of flotation and displacement. In other words they would begin their technological advancement by placing their faith in the magical technology of boats. 

As of yet, the North Sentinelese have religiously avoided the use of boats despite somehow arriving on the island thirty thousand years ago from the African continent. Attempting to explain their arrival without invoking some form of maritime technology takes some serious effort. The most likely explanation would probably be some form of marooning of slaves who had been acquired from inland African regions. Over the years, they have suppressed and ultimately lost the traumatic memory of Phoenician slave ships from pre-diluvian antiquity. These people are literally what most cargo cults were prior to the arrival of pith helmeted, handlebar moustached explorers. Then Tally Ho Smythe and Klaus Von Bi-Plane descended into the tropical interior to dispense divine items such as bottles of coke and tins of evaporated milk. Or as with the Viracocha, prior to their arrival in South America on rafts of living eels. The Mesoamericans had their customs and senses fairly challenged by the bearded civilisation vendors from somewhere across the seas. The price for acquiring their super advanced sophistry was fair, but non negotiable. In short, an end to the sacrifice system. 

Disparity

In contemporary times, various researchers have produced quite startling results from their consciousness experiments. However the mainstream scientific community rarely accepts them as having any significance. The Royal Society et al do not recognise any esoteric energetic concepts such as Chi, aether, aura, kundulini, zero point or even the energies detected by dowsing. This comes from a material reductionist mindset which maintains that perception, measurement and articulation must all conform to established methods. Otherwise the research must surely be considered woowoo or perhaps pseudoscience, at best. This official narrative is a major barrier to the funding of research into the nature and potential of the consciousness field. 

The military and clandestine communities are certainly not encumbered by such intransigent thinking. All clandestine agencies rely on elaborate illusory methods. Many of which undoubtedly prove highly effective in terms of perception management. Being able to weave the realities of human beings has always been attractive to those few who would seek to control and profit from the masses. Examine the historical record and a highly telegraphic trail of grotesque shitcrumbs emerges. One which dates back many millennia and has multiple occurrences. One of the more conspicuous instances of this hierarchical deception method would be the Mesoamerican magi proclaiming that everyone must give over half their harvest to ensure that the sun returns after the eclipse. In a slight variation, they also blessed the Pok-ta-pok (Hip-Ball) tournament champions, before they opened up their arteries, decapitated them or poured molten gold down their throats.   

The sacrificial frenzy of the South American cultures has been consigned to history as a particularly ugly record of mans inhumanity to man. However at the time, the Mesoamerican people really did believe that if they did not hold regular sacrificial ceremonies their world would surely disintegrate. It seems unlikely that the sunlight promising witch doctors would actually believe in such an illogical reality. The advisors to the nobility were quite aware of the levels of perception management in play. The confidence trickery quite apparently accounted for the extensive surplus in their grain stores and also in their coffers. 

Due to the phenomenal levels of perception management involved, the Mesoamerican magi were undoubtedly influencing the consciousness field in quite a profound way. The belief structures of the people they ruled over were formed in such a way that their faith was absolute. The abstraction between making an offering to intangible forces and maintaining a standard of living, did not exist. These actions were directly linked and formed part of a fundamental belief structure. The historical population of the New World cultures accepted bloodthirsty malevolent deities such as Huitzilopochtli and Tlaloc as we accept the terms of our motor insurance. It's all quite inconvenient really, but ignoring the reality usually incurs penalties. As such they offered up their HipBall champions and their celebrated offspring as sacrifices to appease these cruel and vain gods. The eclipse passed, the sun emerged, the rains came, their crops ripened and the world they knew carried on, just as the magi had promised.

The connection between environmental continuity and regular inhumanity became entrenched in the minds of those subjected to conditioning in a saturated environment. The only way to purge the insanity of the culture from the average tribe members mind, would have involved them leaving the tribe and traveling thousands of miles to find a community that did not practice such barbarism. The sacrificial belief structure pervaded everything that these tribes did on a daily basis. Consequently it was considered to just be the way things were. 

In order to please the witch doctors and the gods they spoke for, the tribe members provided fresh subjects who knew they were going to be sacrificed. These unfortunate victims were at times, prisoners and at other times, volunteers. To say that the volunteers had been conned would be a serious understatement. The level of perception management was directly proportionate to the aforementioned environmental saturation. Everyone the subject knew told them that they were special and had been bestowed with a great honour. That being death, transcendence, spiritual immortality, economic success (for surviving relatives) and basically the preservation of reality itself. The average person would not be able to withstand the repetitive neural linguistic programming that bombarded their every waking moment. Additionally, those repeating the trope were ensuring that the tribe provided a volunteer and were incentivised by the go-along to get-along mentality. If the tribe did not provide a volunteer, the magi would find a reason for the chief to send some warriors around to expedite matters and probably punish the entire tribe in some brutal and no doubt sacrificial way.

The tribe members believed that the entirety of their society was traveling in the same direction, on the same road to prosperity. Technological progress is synonymous with progress in our civilisation, but was less so in theirs. Instead their hybrid paradigm of hunter gatherer and agrarian economies produced a value system based on abundance and spiritual equilibrium. Their concepts linking death with fertility seem utterly bizarre to us in contemporary society. However our concepts linking social media engagement with monetary success and status would be equally as impossible for them to comprehend. The magi however, believed themselves to be on quite a different path altogether. They knew perfectly well that the rituals were not directly related to the continuity of society. Neither were they blind to the value in large scale perception management. Hierophants from every culture have always perceived enormous value in bullshitting the population with the 'next big thing' narrative. In this way we see that the witch doctors shaking their tail feathers on the steps of the Kukulkan pyramid in Chichen Itza, Mexico were no different to Elon Musk performing a repeated SPQR salute at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

As it turned out, their first documented contact with an external culture seriously disrupted their sacrificial paradigm. After the civilisors left, the Mesoamericans returned to the brutal slaughter and even the wearing of the skin of prisoners from conquered tribes. Whether this happened after the civilisors departure or actually caused it is fiercely debated. Regardless, the departure of the Viracocha really was the writing on the wall for the sacrifice system of the Mesoamericans. Centuries later, the Spanish and Portuguese conquistadors rocked up and the prophecy of end times did indeed come to pass. Part of their justification lay in the horror at the nature of their sacrifice system. The hypocrisy of conquest orientated Christianity and the philosophy of manifest destiny were well paired to facilitate the butchering of other peoples in the name of Christ. The Jesuits and their equivalents felt utterly justified in slaying what they considered to be savages, for breaking the holy commandments. Convert or die has always represented a highly successful management consultancy method which invariably produces substantial returns.  

A con of the magnitude seen in the population control methods deployed by the priest class(es) of Mesoamerica is believed to impact the local consciousness field in a massive way. The actual physics of what happens is phenomenally complex and the mechanisms are far from public knowledge. To make matters worse, since 1947 there have been a bunch of BOZOS running around faking it by using near-field RF technology to listen in on people's thoughts and then manifesting them in reality. This subverts the intended effects of injecting high octane emotional energy into the consciousness field. Instead of the ancient and established principles of focused emotional energy manifesting positive changes in the environment, the contemporary clandestine illusionist now uses human interaction as a playground to create a perceived link between cause and effect. They then impose their own (generally insane) agendas on their intended subjects and blur the distinction between the old ways and the new. Bizarre-doz

Basically, the Wizard of Oz revelation of an inconsequential old fool behind a curtain with levers and buttons is highly relevant. What he didn't tell Dorothy and her entourage was that the municipality of Oz have installed magical floral totems along the yellow brick road. They not only detect the arrival of visitors and meter their progress, but also allow representatives from the Supreme Council of United Municipal Oz to pilot the visitors all the way to the gates. The mystical horticultural antennae fulfill a transceiver function which means that the SCUMOz operatives can see what these possibly hostile pedestrian insurgents are looking at, hear what they are thinking, feel their emotions and then influence their targets in real time. They can literally hijack the consciousness of these hapless pilgrims as soon as they set foot on the canary coloured cobblestones. Fortunately for Dorothy and Co. there aren't too many roundabouts en route. Their course is primarily predicated on their original user requirements but is subject to the odd environmental hazard such as possible attack from flying monkeys. 

As a co-intel pro asset, the Wicked Witch(es) of the East, South & West are not limited by either unassisted transport or the magical floral installations. The classic broomstick provides a much, much faster mode of negotiating the terrain of Greater Oz and beyond. The ability to fly exempts the witches from detection by (and influence from) the flower towers. Seemingly un-powered flight creates a mysticism which represents a distinct Oz-dollar value in terms of shock and awe. In addition the Wicked Witch(es) can also cast spells from an aerial platform which provides full spectrum dominance. To the average cartoon stereotype inhabitant of Oz, a Wicked Witch is as a god. A cruel and jealous one at that. The Wicked Witch(es) don't draw a salary from the apparatchiks of Oz, but SCUMOz security turn a blind eye to their malevolent witchcraft and evil agendas. Without credible threats such as the Wicked Witch of the West and her legion of deranged flying monkeys, the citizens of Oz wouldn't need such well maintained defences. Neither would they be able to justify the budgetary requirements of a standing army, local militias, garrison builders, caterers, weapons manufacturers, sentries or even much of a guard post at the gate. These city state security resources are critically important and pay a goodly number of salaries. The Wicked Witch function is quite clearly an essential factor in terms of long term funding and career longevity for those tasked with preserving the United Municipality of Oz and its outlying protectorates. 

Perhaps the most egregious illusion plaguing the theatrical heroes would be that the SCUMOz has re-branded several times over the past sixty million years or so. The Tin Man, the cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow, Dorothy and Toto are merely the most recent iteration of archetypes on a periodic quest for salvation. The forces currently behind the City of Oz, were handed down the guidebook to operate the flower towers from the previous outgoing administration. The Elders of the United Municipality of Oz, nee Ozzicia, formerly part of the Noble Empire of Oz, which was part of the Technocratic Republic of United Territories, after being originally founded in deep antiquity as just 'O'. The general population didn't mind the brevity of the states name back then because sixty million years ago they didn't use speech or writing anyway.  

The bureacrats and apparatchiks of Oz have been using methods of perception management to limit the numbers of awkward questions throughout their history. They have a stratified system of preserving privilege through limiting technological dissemination.  Deception has proven highly effective when used to control not only their own citizens, but the rest of the surrounding lands. Statistically, instances of valid and justified anomalies occur within this methodology. Individuals and groups denounce the ideology, perception management and illusory nature of their reality. They push back by petitioning, criticising or door-stepping the so called wizard. Eventually one of these anomalies (or their West Highland Terrier) perceives and advertises the reality of the old man behind the curtain. 

To prevent any threat to the absolute and unwavering faith in the so called wizard, SCUMOz seek to deter critics and hecklers with the use of co-intel pro assets such as the Wicked Witches. Regular incursions by aggressive and terrifying airborne threats keep the population of Oz compliant in terms of paying their taxes but more importantly, preserving their irrational faith in the so called wizard. The magic flower totems on the yellow brick road are kept strictly secret by SCUMOz. They form part of an elaborate command and control network which preserves the privilege of those on the Council, their subordinates and the greater Municipality of Oz. Far from representing actual magic, they are simply an advanced technology which has been obfuscated to prevent those subjected to the influence of SCUMOz from ever realising it. At this point, this text looks less like the fictional extrapolation of a 1939 MGM cinema classic plot and more like what is actually happening today - in the high street.  

Today in the first world, we still enjoy competitive sports, some of which have quite serious consequences. However at this time of writing there is no championship which rewards the winners (or losers) with summary public execution. Instead the entire industry has had substantial financial value placed on it. The rewards for both players and speculators can be considerable, with high profile failure potentially representing the end of a professional career or crippling investment failure. Such is the contemporary value placed in competition that any behavioural observation reveals highly competitive games being inserted into the template of everyday interactions. Waiting at the junction to a busy roundabout, the road users are often seen to use dominating tactics to force their way into traffic. Likewise, the motorists in other lanes will use suppressive measures to prevent other drivers from joining the flow of traffic. The time saving is negligible, amounting to mere seconds on a journey. Nonetheless people behave in this way all over the planet without even thinking about it. 

Labour saving

The average motorist doesn't think too hard about the accompanying voice commands that assist them on their journey. The navigational aid is either factory installed hardware or a default maps application on their mobile device.  What they don't generally consider is the software evolution that has taken place to facilitate the latest features on their navigational experience. Regardless of the device platform, during the development, hosting or GPS integration, GNU software has been used. The advances in Free and Open Source Software over the past thirty years has been extensive. Were it not for Linus Torvalds re-writing the Unix operating system and releasing Linux for free, there would be no RedHat or Android. RedHat is used by all leading investment banks and trading platforms to return the fastest computation that is commercially available. Likewise Android underpins the largest share of the mobile smartphone market. Beyond that it's also the default OS for more IoT devices than any other operating system. The promotion of open source has facilitated a major technological dissemination. 

The significance of the Linux revolution has reached the point where the internet and world in general would be a poor facsimile of itself were it dependent on commercial licenses for all modern lifestyle computer applications. This transition represents a major change in the technological dissemination pattern. As far as anyone knows, Linus Torvalds wasn't guided by an unseen hand to re-write Unix, he was just sick of the AT&T product's limitations. This was an end user lead paradigm shift as opposed to a cascade of knowledge initiated by hierophants for vain and commercial purposes. This is the single greatest piece of evidence that speaks to the death of the old ways. However, it also stands as a contemporary Tower of Babel. The unstoppable success of the GNU license, Creative Commons licenses and FOSS in general will undoubtedly be perceived as a threat. A percentage of end users have fairly bitten their thumbs at the OS provider gods who previously dictated terms to the Original Equipment Manufacturers.

Roundup

The link between a lot of roundabouts, Mesoamerican culture and The Wizard of Oz lies in the shifting technological landscape. The mechanics of a roundabout or rotary junction are well understood. However analysis of the traffic patterns reveals a whole other story. Their entire purpose is to alleviate congestion in the surrounding area. Replacing crossroads with roundabouts leads to lowered rates of accidents, emissions and navigation errors. Prudent uses of roundabouts can radically alter the character of an area to make it more or less attractive to visitors. Even the islands in the middle become a vibrant environment for various threatened species. Due to them being completely isolated from pedestrians there are numerous species which benefit in such isolation. In short, roundabouts are a seemingly irrelevant yet actually highly significant feature in the evolution of mass transport. Most roundabout users however do not even question them. It's simply an inconvenience on a long distance route or it's a valuable local short cut. Whichever side of the value division the user falls, the modus is the same: follow the rules or there are penalties attached. Only a very few people understand the significance of the roundabout in terms of impact on the local community or the environment. It's just something most people don't think about and dismiss as the dominion and responsibility of the roads dept or local council. 

The Mesoamericans had many fearsome warriors, but all the killing stick competitions in the world did not prepare them for the superior technology of the conquistadors. Neither would it have equipped them to do battle with the Viracocha. Any culture that was capable of traversing the ocean thousands of years ago, would certainly have been resourceful enough to defeat people who weren't such competent mariners. There is also anecdotal evidence concerning the Viracocha refusing to be seen eating at any time. When they did eat, they retired to their 'raft of living eels' to descend below decks, as they also did to sleep. This is quite pertinent information because it speaks to a counter method deployed to protect against long range psychological surveillance... thousands of years ago. The Mesoamericans weren't aware of it, but the Viracocha were.

Dorothy and Co. weren't aware of the sensors in the flower towers, or the relationship between the Wicked Witch(es) and the Supreme Council of United Municipal Oz. They simply ambled through a wonderland of magical abstraction. At one point they literally fell asleep in the field of poppies simply because one of the Wicked Witches wished to delay them and they just couldn't resist having a quick nap. To call them vigilant would be perhaps overstating things. The other inhabitants of Oz were no better informed. They lived their lives in total ignorance of the technological and greater political infrastructure. Save for the odd hysterical Mayoral elections, most concern themselves with everything except the methods used to control them. Were it not for the uncontrollable, war like tenacity and fearless demeanor of the West Highland Terrier, none of them would ever have known the truth. They then had to contend with the realisation that they were effectively puppets being played by an illusionist. All be it one with substantial resources. Obviously this sort of epiphany can be quite taxing. It wouldn't be unreasonable to expect the Tin Man, Lion & Scarecrow to require some form of counselling or psychotherapy after such a harrowing ordeal and paradigm shattering revelation. 

Many of the technological shifts we have experienced as a species have come about through a blatant dissemination from cultures which protected their technology to maintain privilege. This is supposedly a viciously guarded secret. However it is so utterly pervasive that it is represented in media with alarming regularity. 

The social media disclosure crazes always focus on USAP technology or ET technology. The irony being that neither could revealed without an accompanying historical disclosure. The problem being that global society has regularly been (and is being right now) reset to pave the way for a qualitatively different way of life. During every transition there are those who decry the change and protest the methods employed to implement the change management process. Some of these reset events include a degree of technological dissemination, most include a substantial loss of life and all include a sustained campaign of compelling the population into forgetting the old ways. From the Chinese revolution a century ago to the social engineering experiment in the deserts of Egypt nearly seven thousand years ago. 

Currently we are seeing SpaceX's reusable rockets still going through their proving phases. There have surely been advances in the positioning methods, but the much celebrated videos of barge tower landings in the middle of the sea aren't really doing much more than the McDonald Douglas prototypes were doing in the 90's. The perception by future generations will be that SpaceX invented reusable rockets and nobody could do reliable space transport before Elon showed us the way. The reality being that the MIC threw him a bone with a technology that had been split off from the HTDA Development Plan in 1977 - 1986. They're due to throw someone a bone circa 2051 which will crap all over Elons rocket parade. 

One thing we can be sure of is that those disseminating the technology will, as usual want to get the best value from whatever technology precedes the dissemination event. As such over the next quarter of a century we can probably expect a sizeable percentage of combustion technology that has been hidden over the past seventy years to come into the popular consciousness. We need to be mindful of the unavoidable reality that whatever the negative implications of a technology are, they will definitely have been used against the population for some years prior to their release for consumer markets. 

In many ways, every society on Earth is a cargo cult controlled by a minority of intransigent misers.
